LG is back in the field of the tablet market by introducing a brand new device from its G Pad series. This Korean smartphone giant has launched the LG G Pad 5 in South Korea with the silver color variant. It is priced at KRW 440,000 (Rs 27,000 approx in India) in South Korea.
The specifications of the LG G Pad 5, which we last saw an update two years back in 2017 in the form of the LG G Pad 4, comes with a 10.1-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD capacity touch display with a screen resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It has dimensions of 247.2 x 150.7 x 8 mm and it weighs around 500 g. It also comes with an inbuilt blue light filter which allows users to make adjust the screen brightness as per their requirements. The tab also has separate white and black modes that are designed to provide a comfortable reading experience to the users while reading e-books online.
LG’s newly launched G Pad 5 product is powered by a three-year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 system-on-chip, which is an odd choice for a processor at this time. It runs on Google’s old Android 9.0 Pie mobile operating system and also gives LG’s custom user interface on top. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory which can be expanded further using a microSD of up to 512GB storage space.
It also has an 8MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera in the front with the support of auto-focus. Additionally, the LG G Pad 5 10.1 has GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 BLE and Wi-Fi 802.11 for connectivity. As far as the battery is concerned, LG’s newly launched tablet comes with a massive 8,200mAh battery and it features support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
